الترجمة تحدٍ بين قصيدتين
ما بين الترجمة واللقاء, الشعراء مَن يخلق القصيدة!
الترجمة هنا بدأت بدقة و حرفية جميلة بإضافة الى وجود الشاعر ذاته, في ان يلقي قصيدته بلغته الأم وإحساسه و لغة جسده و مخارج حروفه، هذا والأجواء متكاملة لخلق فرصة للتقارب الأكثر منذ إلقاء التحية الصباحية و الى المساء..
فريق رييل ارتس المتكامل بوجوه شخصياته وافكاره هو حلم يمشي على قدمين، يدخل الشرق الاوسط و العراق و العالم، وهو جسر للتواصل بين الحضارات هناك لغة جديدة تدخل الى العالم العربي بفعاليات كهذه تنمّي و تضيف لمسات جوهرية للنصوص.
من خلال هذه التجربة الفريدة من نوعها في العراق و بين إعادة خلق نص في ادخال رؤية جديدة لقصائد الشعراء كل من ستيف فاولر, نيا دافيس, كاي ميللر, فيكي فيفر و بالطبع اللقاء بهم وجهاً لوجه.
هذه التجربة كانت بالنسبة لي اضافة في كونها تدمج روحين مختلفتين من الغرب و الشرق، كيف وأنا أتحدث عن أجواء جنوب العراق بصخبه ومتغيراته وتناقضه وحروبه و تحدثني نيا عن أجواء لندن و القطارات في مدينتها.
عشت أياما رائعة تعرفت فيها على نخبة من الشعراء والمنظمين لهذه الورشة من هوشنك وزيري الكاتب العراقي الكردي, و رايان فان وينكل الكاتب الاسكتلندي و دان كرومان,  الكاتبة لورين و الممثلة دينا الموسوي و جهود الكثيرين ليتم نجاح هذه الورش وإقامة مهرجان في أربيل بإضافة الى تسجيل فيلم قصير لهذه الايام.
هذه التجربة تحد جميل بعيد عن تكرار كليشات في النصوص الكثيرة في العالم هو خلق حلقة متواصلة يخلقونها فريق رييل ارتس بامتياز.

Between the translations and meetings, poems are being created.  The translations started with precision, a beautiful craft; in addition the presence of the poets themselves whom present their poem in its original language with feeling, gesticulations and articulation. We have spent all day every day with each other which has created the opportunity to become closer.

The whole Reel Festivals team is here with their personalities and ideas – and it’s a dream walking on two feet that enters the Middle East, Iraq and the world.  It is a bridge connecting cultures which creates a new language that enters the Arab world through activities such as these giving new light to the text.

This unique experience in Iraq, has given birth to new text by gaining new perspectives on the work through the other poets’ vision on your work – Steven J Fowler, Nia Davies, Kei Miller and Vicki Feaver.

This experience for me has two souls – East and West.  It’s about how I talk about Southern Iraq, the changes, the wars and Nia talks about London and the trains in her city.

I have enjoyed these days, I have gotten to know some of the best people through these workshops, from Iraqi/Kurdish writer Hoshang Waziri, American poet Ryan Van Winkle, Organiser Dan Gorman, translator Lauren Pyott, translator/actress Dina Mousawi and filmmaker Yasmin Fedda, who’s working on short films on the project. All have worked hard to make these workshops and the festival in Erbil a success.

By creating this experience, Reel Arts are challenging cliched stereotypes around the world.
