Dolphin Boy samples the streets of Beirut
As part of Reel Festivals 2011 DJ Dolphin Boy, a veteran and versatile DJ from Scotland, came with us to Lebanon and made three brand new tracks fusing Scottish and Middle Eastern melodies with street sounds and samples.
The track below titled ‘Ghazi’, layers samples layers Beirut traffic sounds with old Lebanese music samples and excerpts of a Shooglenifty live performance recorded at Beirut’s Music Hall.
