London based collective Raast are long time friends and collaborators who performed with Highlight Arts as part of the Syria Speaks tour in 2014.
Raast are a London-based collective who play songs of love and resistance from the Middle East and beyond. From Palestinian folk to evocative original material, their combination of traditional and contemporary instrumentation blends together global sounds with a unique twist. Raastc ollaborate with artists from all over the world and host East in East, a bi-monthly night of contemporary Middle Eastern film, music and culture at Passing Clouds in Dalston.
