Ali Akbar Natiq is a poet, novelist, critic and mason whose writing takes the reader through the villages and small towns of his Punjab — its land, its rivers, its people as well as its violence, its madness, its floods. His novel and various stories have been translated into English and has been named one of Granta’s new voices.
